Mocha Munch

It is football season and with that comes parties and tailgates.

This Mocha Munch recipe is the absolute perfect snack mix to take along to these events.  Make it the night before and try your very best not to eat it for breakfast.

It is a delicious mix of sweet with just a hint of zip from the spice in the Fresco Coffee Steak Rub.  Add a little more or a little less to appease your flavor buds.

  • 8 CUPS CHOCOLATE CHEX OR (RICE CHEX)
  • 4 CUPS CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH
  • 3 CUPS SMALL PRETZELS
  • 1 CUP TOASTED PECANS
  • 1 CUP TOFFEE BITS
  • ¼ CUP FRESCO COFFEE STEAK RUB
  • 3 TEASPOONS HOT WATER
  • 1 CUP SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
  • ¼ CUP BUTTER - CUBED
  • 1- 2 CUPS POWDERED SUGAR

In a small bowl combine 3 teaspoons of hot water and 1/4 cup Fresco Coffee Steak Rub.  Stir to dissolve the coffee as much as possible.

In a large bowl combine all cereal, pretzels, nuts and toffee bits.

In a microwave safe bowl combine butter, chocolate chips and coffee water.  Microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until melted and combined.

Pour the chocolate mix over the cereals and mix until it is all well coated.  Pour into a large paper bag and add in the powdered sugar.  Carefully shake the bag until all the bits are well coated in the sugar.  You can add more as necessary.  Once coated pour out into a baking sheet or tray and allow to cool.  Store in an airtight container, if there is any to store.  YUM!
