Easy Korean Beef
My family loves Asian food and this recipe is simple, cheap and delicious. It is a win, win, win situation. Asian food can often be intimidating to make because of long list of ingredients that add depth and flavor but with our spice blend we make it simple yet delcicious. In about ten minutes with about ten dollars you can have this for dinner tonight too.
- 1 pound very lean ground beef
- 2 Tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 1 Tablespoon Fresco Taste of Asia
- optional Siracha for a little more heat
Start by browning your beef in a large skillet in the sesame oil. (If your beef is not super lean drain off any excess grease.) With the skillet on medium heat add the brown sugar, soy sauce and Taste of Asia. Simmer for a few minutes to allow the ingredients meld. While simmering clean and thinly slice the scallions.
Serve the beef over rice topped with chopped scallions and a side of steamed edemame, snow peas or broccoli.
Or serve the beef in romaine lettuce cups topped with a bit of shredded carrots.
